4.1 Introduction to sensors

A sensor is a device that detects the change in the environment and responds to some output on the other system or we can say Sensor is a device which detect any physical change in the surroundings. A sensor converts a physical signal into a measurable voltage which can be converted into a human-readable display or transmitted for reading or further processing.

Different types of sensors

Their are different types of sensors available as per the requirements which are classified based on the quantities such as Electric current or Potential or Magnetic or Radio sensors, Humidity sensor, Fluid velocity or Flow sensors, Motion sensor,Pressure sensors, Thermal or Heat or Temperature sensors, Proximity sensors, Optical sensors, Position sensors, Chemical sensor, Environment sensor, Magnetic switch sensor , etc.
