Relay works on the principle of electromagnetic induction.
When some current is applied to electromagnet than magnetic field is induced around it.
Initially when the relay is not energized or no voltage is applied and the relay is in Normally open condition then the contacts are open.
When the relay is not energized or no voltage is applied and the relay is in Normally closed condition then the contacts are closed.
Now, if some power or voltage is applied to it’s coil then it gets energized and it’s normally open condition is changed to normally closed condition and vice-versa.
When the relay is energized the device will be turned with the appropriate operation.
